Fuel System

I had some problems with the fuel tank leaking where the filler hose nipple connects to the tank. The damage did not seem very major, so I decided to fix the tank with JB weld. I then painted the tank with POR-15. When I did the V8 conversion my friend lent me his pump that he mistakenly replaced on his 91 Corvette a few years back. Since he has been hinting that he wanted it back, I decided to look for a new fuel pump. I have been questioning if the pump flowed enough anyway.

I finally located a parts store (Autozone) that sold AC Delco fuel pumps and had a book that would give me some specifications for different AC Delco fuel pumps. It turned out the 91 Corvette pump (AC Delco # EP375) had a 50 psi operating pressure and a flow of 24 GPH. The stock V6 Fiero pump (AC Delco # EP240) had a 50 psi operating pressure and a flow of 16 GPH. After searching the book for a while found a pump that had 50 psi and 50 GPH. It was AC Delco # EP367. It is for a 96 Bonneville with a supercharger. In the book there was a picture and it looked exactly like the Fiero pump. I ordered it for $99.95.

I received the pump. I took some pictures comparing the Fiero and Bonneville pump.
